  1. Creating a Customer RecordTailwind CMSTM

  2. Step 1 Step 2 1. Click on the Customers Icon - and the customer screen opens. 2. Click on the New Form Icon - and a New Customer Form opens.

  3. Step 1 Step 1 Step 2 1. Enter the Abbv. Name (appears in software). Enter the Legal Name (used for administration, billing, invoicing etc.) 2. Enter the Customer Location information. (Address, City, Prov/State, PC/Zip, Country, Phone, Toll Free and Fax)

  4. Step 1 Step 2 Step 2 1. Click on Copy Location Address if the Billing Location is the same as the Customer Location. If the Billing Location is different, then enter the appropriate information. 2. Click on the down arrow opposite Acct Mgr and select the Acct Mgr.2. Click on the down arrow opposite Sales Rep and select the Sales Rep.

  5. Step 1 Step 2 1. Click on the down arrow opposite Type in the Criteria section. Select the appropriate customer type. Different fields will appear below for information depending on the type chosen. 2. Select the flag that applies in the Customer Requirements section. The system will require the flagged item on any orders.

  6. Step 1 Step 1 Step 2 Step 2 Step 2 1. Click on Save. A Tailwind CMS window will open. Click NO. (Adding a contact is next.) 2. Click on Create Contact to add the contact(s) for this customer. The Contact screen will open. Enter the contact and click Save & Close.

  7. Step 1 Step 1 Step 2 Step 2 Step 2 Step 2 1. To add another contact click on Create Contact and repeat the steps. Click on View Credit Information and the Credit Info screen will open. 2. Select the Approved flag in Credit Status. Click on the down arrow for Terms and select 30 days. Check the flag for Credit Agreement. (This isan example of the credit terms for a customer.) Click Save & Close.
