NATO Education Network • Practical Educational Networking For The Future”, 22-23 September 2004 • Objectives: • To develop practical proposals for transformational NATO policy, doctrine and strategy; • To enhance the transformational quality of education and training available to NATO forces and partner nations; • To promote educational interoperability and mutual road mapping; • Where possible, specify possible next-step commitments; • To determine the role of ADL capabilities/technologies in promoting the above objectives. www.gcsp.ch

NATO Education Network • Outcome • Well appreciated contributions of ADL WG and WGCD – especially in the fields of curriculum development, database on curricula, LMS, online course, etc. • Need of further collaboration and coordination in order to enhance training and education (ACT to be involved in WGCD) • Knowledge Portal: essential for T&E www.gcsp.ch

Workshop on Combating THB • Bringing together subject matter experts, representatives from NATO, EAPC, and from Defence Education Institutions • To implement the NATO Policy on Combating THB • To discuss the different training modules for military and civilian personal in peace operation www.gcsp.ch

Workshop on Combating THB • Results • NATO School invited an expert group to create a training module • GCSP to be the contact point for collecting data on curricula referring to combating THB • GCSP (WGCD) to draft a Reference Curriculum on Combating THB • Development of a e-learning module www.gcsp.ch

Strategy of Collaboration • Discussion • Need of marketing / promoting work of the two groups • Need to create one access point for the products • Need to have effective feedback systems for ADL courses and RefCurr • Adopting a more costumer driven approach – innovative approach for course/curriculum development www.gcsp.ch
