Your task…jump cuts • Make your own version of a ‘jump cut’ by filming two similar shots. • Film a ‘cutaway’ to add in. • Edit this together in your Premiere file – first the clips with an obvious jump. Secondly, add in the cutaway. • Download the clip of ‘Breathless’ from Weebly. • Put this into your Premiere File. • Answer the following questions on your Weebly; • Who directed the film ‘Breathless’? • Why was his use of jump cuts unusual? • How do you normally hide a jump cut?

Your task…transitions • Film a short sequence of two clips. In the first clip you will be in location A, and in the second clip you will have moved to location B. • Bring the two clips into Premiere. Repeat the clips 3 times on your timeline. For each set, put a different transition between the clips (ie. Wipe, dissolve, straight cut) • Download the transition clips from Weebly and add these to your timeline.
