The Goal Setting Wheel • If you are finding it difficult to write goals by using the vision, values, roles, goals method, try this instead. • Buy a simple lever-arch file, and put as many loose leaf slips in as you like • Print this wheel off, and work your way around the clock from 12 o’clock (personal development) to 1 o’clock (community) etc.
The Goal Setting Wheel • Under each heading are some suggested areas to look at, which may give separate goals. For example at 1 o’clock (community there are two sub-categories: family and society. • What goals do you have for your family this year? • What goals do you have for your involvement in society this year (local community, state, national or whatever).
The Goal Setting Wheel • Work your way around until you have completed the wheel. • For each goal we encourage you to print off a copy of the template provided on the CD. • This will provide a frame of reference for you to produce SMART goals.
