I think that Dave does not have the necessary skills and experience, as he has always worked for someone else, so he will not know how to run a business. I also think he will have lots of competition from firms such as Ikea, which he may not be able to deal with effectively. I think that he does have the skills and experience. He has decided to charge a lot of money for his bedroom furniture, which obviously means that if he sells some furniture it will make him lots of money for himself, which will make him very successful indeed.
