  1. THE DO’s & DON’Ts for DEPLOYMENT GEAR WHAT TO PACK?

  2. Bag One 72-hour bag • This bag is a smaller mobile bag to be carried with you wherever you go. Some items can pack within other items, to reduce space.

  3. PACKED ITEMS • Bug Repellent, min 75 % DEET • Leather work gloves • Water bottle or Coffee Cup (Oatmeal???) • 2 liters water • Paper, pens, pencils • Flashlight / light sticks • (+ 1 set batteries)

  4. PACKED ITEMS • Drivers License • Passport • Credit Card • Money ($20’s or smaller bills) • Immunization card • Emergency Info Form • Prepaid phone card • Eye protection • Ear protection • Sunscreen & Lip Balm

  5. PACKED ITEMS • Sunglasses, glasses, etc. • Books, cards, games (Think small) • 1 Change of clothes • Sweater or jacket • Compass • Kleenex Toilet paper • Pins/patches/coins to trade

  6. PACKED ITEMS • Hat with brim (Khaki baseball • Cap style or boonie hat) • Food/Snacks/MRE(s) • Personal Meds (30 day supply) • Personal first aid kit • CPR mask & gloves • Stethoscope

  7. PACKED ITEMS - TOILETRIES • Tooth Brush / paste/ floss • Soap Bar& container • Wash cloth & towel • Brush / Comb / Mirror • Shaving supplies • Shampoo/cream rinse

  8. PACKED ITEMS - TOILETRIES • Lotion • Unscented Deodorant • Foot Powder • Make up (Think minimal!) • Feminine Hygiene items

Bag Two 14-day bag • This is the larger bag that may be checked onto a commercial airline, or be palletized and shipped with team gear. • Again, remember that some items can pack within other items. bag is a smaller mobile bag to be carried with you wherever you go.   16. BAG IDENTIFICATION • Remember to ID your bags with Name and Team. • We suggest writing this information ON THE BAG or using nametapes, rather than using luggage tags.

  17. REMEMBER!!! • Total weight less than 50 pounds for a commercial flight and 70 pounds military or ground travel! • Your gear bags need to withstand water! • Consider Scotch Gard repellent
