  2. This group of stars and planets is called a galaxy.

  3. This galaxy is called the Milky Way. Planet Earth is in this galaxy. We live on planet Earth!

  4. This is our solar system. There are nine planets.

  5. All the planets move round the sun. The sun is a huge hot star.

  6. This planet is called Mercury. It is close to the sun, and very hot. No one lives here!

  7. This planet is called Venus. Venus has poisonous clouds. No one lives here!

  8. This is planet Earth. It has water and land. Things grow here. We live here!

  9. This planet is called Mars. Mars is red and very dusty. No one lives here!

  10. This planet is called Jupiter. Jupiter has a large storm that looks like a spot. No one lives here!

  11. This planet is called Saturn. Saturn has rings of rocks and dust whizzing round it. No one lives here!

  12. This planet is called Uranus. Uranus is made of ice and rocks. No one lives here!

  13. This planet is called Neptune. Neptune is made of ice and rocks. No one lives here!

  14. This planet is called Pluto. Pluto is far away from the sun, and is very cold. No one lives here!

  15. Some planets have moons. This is our moon.

  16. Rocket ships can travel in space and visit the moon.

  17. Only special people called astronauts can visit the moon! They have to wear special clothes.
