What Does LGAA Do? • Supports Leadership Germantown • Recognizes outstanding community service and volunteerism • Provides grants for community programs • Sponsors the Community Forum series • Advocates the appointment of LGAA alumni to City commissions • Provides fellowship and networking opportunities for the graduates of Leadership Germantown

  4. SupportsLeadership Germantown In 2008, Leadership Germantown will receive the largest percentage of the Alumni Association's budget. The Leadership Germantown Alumni Association will continue our support of the Leadership Germantown program by sponsoring City Government Day on April 30, 2008. For years LGAA has sponsored the Jim Roberts Award in each class, provided two half scholarships to each Leadership Germantown class, and given portfolios to those who graduate from the program. Additionally, in 2008, the Leadership Germantown Alumni Association will provide a $750 grant to Leadership Germantown to help defray some of their operating expenses.

  5. Recognizes OutstandingCommunity Service • Each year the LGAA presents the Jo Reed award. Jo Reed was a very active part of this community before her tragic death in 1996. Prior to her death she contributed countless hours of community service to the City of Germantown. • Each year the LGAA also presents the New Teacher of the Year award.
