Rolling Admissions What can you offer? Athletics Arts (fine/performing) Extracurricular Involvement Legacy “Underrepresented” Low Income Immigrant/Refugee
Rolling Admissions Colleges with rolling admissions may be selective or more “general” in admissions standards. (UW-Madison & La Crosse vs. UW- Parkside or UW Colleges) Specific Programs or Majors may have specific admission standards. (UWRF El. Ed., UMTC Carlson School, UWSP Biology)
Rolling Admissions Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission!
Pool Admissions HS Graduate Class Rank, Strength of Schedule, Strength of Class, HS Reputation Test Scores ACT or SAT and/or AP, IB, SAT Subject Tests

So…the Process Make a list of 6-8 schools you would consider Do you research (campus visits, majors, opportunities, etc.) Decide on (at least) 3-5 schools that you will apply to in fall
September/October 2011 Review of applications begins September 15th (UW System) Apply before October 1st Attend UB workshops in September Request transcript release from high school Transcripts for any college/AP courses
November/December 2011 Acceptance Letters! Deferment/Postponed Letters Deposits! Deposits! Deposits! Registration Housing
January/February 2012 • Complete the FAFSA
March 2012 • Register for placement tests! • Receive FA proposals from schools
