Given the £3,000 prize is from Lord Ashcroft I’ll be donating it to causes (1/3) Half to the brilliant @LisaForbes_ campaign against right-wing Tory caricature @SJacksonMP. 5. One of our Supporters writes to SCOPE…. …to ask what they’re doing on campaigning about ILF…SCOPE advises them to get in touch with DPAC! Finances for big disability charities 2010: • Scope– 101 million pounds • Mencap – 194 million pounds • RNID – 41 million pounds • RNIB – 135 million pounds • Leonard Cheshire – 155 million pounds • Guide Dogs – 57 million pounds • MS Society – 29 million pounds • MIND Association – 13 million pounds • Spinal Injuries Association – 20 million pounds • TOTAL = 745 million! With this amount of money to spend-what exactly are they doing for us all?

  6. DWP and Gov lies exposed through declassified court documents in ILF case “The most vocal group has been the relatively new Disabled People against Cuts, DPAC. This group has taken a very strong critical position on a range of DWP policies” The cost of closure will be £39 million! One document states that this has been achieved by the savings from closing ILF to new users in 2010. But “closure cannot be publically defined as value for money”-indeed! In terms of the announcement of proposed closure in 2015 it was noted that none of the ‘stakeholders’ had requested a meeting with ministers from Westminster. Basically most had kept quiet, and hadn’t seen the closure of ILF as any big deal. “on the basis of attention shown so far, we do not think this will   receive  significant attention on its own…”

  7. April: A raft of cuts and new taxes imposed on disabled people DPAC and UKUNCUT serve eviction notices on multi-millionaires: IDS, Osborne and Freud. He lives there rent free courtesy of his father-in-law
