What does it seek? Economic integration with the progressive free movement of goods, services, capital and people. When was it formed? Main Achievements Visa Elimination • Elimination tourist and business visas for nationals of the Pacific Alliance • Opening a shared Embassy in Ghana • Agreement between Chile and Colombia to share embassies in Algeria and Morocco • Peru and Colombia agreed to share the premises of the Embassy in Vietnam Shared Embassies • 100 scholarships per country: 75 scholarships for undergraduate and 25 for doctoral faculty and the academic mobility of teachers.   17. Main Achievements • Agreement for the establishment of the Pacific Partnership Cooperation Fund • Ensures resources for cooperation projects designed to benefit from the integration. Main Achievements • Opening of a joint promotion office in Istanbul, Turkey. • 7 joint seminars with 710 entrepreneurs • Joint promotion at international fairs • Fine Foods in India • Sial in France • Flavors of the Alliance in Mexico • Agribusiness fair: Seoul Food 2013 • Business Meeting of the Pacific Alliance as part of the VII Presidential Summit VII. 400 entrepreneurs from member countries and some observers. • First Business ‘Macro Round’ (June 19-20). 486 exporters and 236 buyers of the Pacific Alliance. • II Business Forum of the Pacific Alliance (September 25). New York. In the framework of the United Nations General Assembly. • Heads of State of the four Member Countries presented the Pacific Alliance before 200 CEOs of American and Pacific Alliance companies.   19. Main Achievements Capital Market Integration • Integrated Latin American Market (MILA), which includes the stock exchanges of each of the countries. Currently operates between Chile, Colombia and Peru. • Once Mexico joins, the MILA will be the second stock exchange in Latin America after Bovespa in Brazil. • CEOs of the four countries make recommendations to Governments on their perspectives and priorities for the integration process. • Promotion of economic cooperation - trade between Alliance members and joint actions with third markets, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.   20. Main Achievements 25 observer countries. 3 more aspiring Costa Rica will become a full member of the Alliance once the accession process is completed. Development of agendas on agreed interests: integration, promotion, education, innovation, science and technology, SMEs, social development, etc.

  25. Next Steps • Joint Promotion of the Alliance: • Opening of the joint office in Casablanca, Morocco by Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Peru will join this initiative in 2014. • Joint participation in: • Another agribusiness fair: Fine Foods India ( December 11 to 13). • 12 investment promotion seminars in in China, Spain, Russia, Poland, India, Korea, Singapore, Japan, United Arab Emirates, and United Kingdom. • Development of multi destination tour packages. 03/01/2020 25
