Special Project SCIENCE SPECIAL PROJECT due November 29 (draft due November 21): During a field trip to the Oaxaca Ethno-Botanical Gardens at Santo Domingo, students will select a native Oaxacan plant of their choice, take a photograph of the plant, do a drawing from observation, and gather basic information about it. They will then use this information, along with any additional research necessary, to create a simple plant fact file. The projects will include how the plant relates with the ecosystem it is part of, what uses the plant has in Oaxacan culture, and why it is important for us to protect it. As a class we will then compile all of the students’ work into a book of native Oaxacan plants.
