  1. UNIT SECRETARY ANNUAL COMPETENCY CHECK Click anywhere on the screen to move onto the next slide.

  2. You are about to partake in the first mandatory Annual Unit Secretary Skills Competency Check. The purpose of the Annual Skills Competency Check is to reinforce and update Unit Secretaries on skills used to carry out the US role. You will be working individually and at your own pace. However, don’t forget the time limit. If you get to a section and you think you are going to have difficulty, move on and go back to it later. If you have a question, raise your hand and someone will help you. Please do not just shout out or ask the person next to you.

  3. Some sections have a PowerPoint Learning Opportunity. You can open and review the “Learning Opportunity” before you take the quiz for that section or you can try to take the quiz first. • Some sections do not have a Power Point learning presentation, just a quiz. The quiz will give you the correct answer for any incorrect answers submitted. • Some of the sections may refer to certain material in your reference book that you may need to complete the section. There is a reference book at each workstation.

  4. After completing each quiz you will see your results. If you have no more than 2 incorrect answers you can review the information provided in the “Feedback” directly under the question to see why your answer was incorrect. You can then move onto the next section. • If you have more than 2 incorrect answers you will need to take the quiz again. You must repeat the quiz until you have no more than 2 incorrect answers. • This is not a test. It is a chance for you to strengthen your skills. So, if you do have 1 or 2 questions answered incorrectly please just be sure you know the correct answers before you move onto the next section.

  5. OK, now you can move onto the Sample quiz. • Click to move to the “end of show” screen, then close this presentation by clicking on the “X” in the top right corner. This will return you to the US Skills Competency Check home page. • On the home page, click on “Sample Quiz”
