  8. “Map-a-Planet 2 (MAP2)” • Cartography task (FY12 & FY13) to revise the Map-A-Planet Web service (developed in 1997) • Improve navigation and viewing performance • Streamline addition of data products • Use an extensible architecture to enable future expansion • Functions and processing options include • Selection of extent by latitude & longitude, map (re)Projection, scale & resolution, pixel type • Resampling method, stretch, addition of graticule • Bands (if multi-band input) and mathematical functions • A variety of output image file formats, some including GIS headers PDSMC August 22-23, 2011
