Questions for further discussion • What are techniques and procedures that could be used to mitigate potential C2 conflicts between combatant commands? • What procedures could be implemented to effectively share assets across the combatant commands to minimize risks to operations already in progress, while meeting requirements for the new contingency? • A dual-hatted command structure was used by EUCOM and AFRICOM to share forces. What are the potential C2 problems that could arise from this type of arrangement and how could they be mitigated? • Coalition information sharing remains a key challenge for effective coalition operations. What are the procedures and processes that could be used to ensure efficient and effective communications between the US and its partners?
