  1. One of the world’s greatest winemakers, Michel Chapoutier tirelessly perfects the art of winemaking through truly terroirbased wines. • Avisionary and pioneer in biodynamic winemaking, Michel’s restless energy and unconditional commitment to quality have produced tremendous success, with the most 90+ point ratings of all Rhône producers and 25“100 point” rated wines. • Banyuls appellation overhangs the Mediterranean Sea. More than two thousand years old, the vineyards are still hand-worked, and are rooted in a stony schist soil. • M Chapoutier Banyuls is a "vindouxnaturels", a fortified wine that is naturally sweet, shows full fruit and wonderful character and is universally perfect with fruit and/or chocolate desserts. BANYULS 2010 2009 Vintage: Variety: 90% Grenache Noir, 10% others Color: Deep garnet Aroma: A touch of dry fruit, crystallized orange and pepper Taste: Intense flavors of chocolate and dried plum Fermentation: Grapes are hand picked very ripe.
