$4,000 Grant opportunity per Project Laptops provided for use during ILEAD in-person sessions During Session 1 or 2, groups will apply for necessary equipment. Participant team members will decide which library owns the equipment. The owning library will contribute a 10 percent match for the equipment. Thumb drives will be distributed to team members that contain instructor materials, rosters and contact information. No match required. Participants are responsible for travel and incidentals; rooms & meals provided by grant funds . ILEAD U Further Details

Ultimately, the application of participatory technology tools is important to the extent that these tools are necessary for meeting the evolving needs of our communities. Participants will learn how and why they need to be involved in their community spaces; and they will gain the confidence, creativity and knowledge to apply Web technologies to meet their users' needs. The course, therefore, is not targeted at simply learning skills for using a static set of tools. These tools will be used to help libraries lead and to connect. ILEAD U Philosophy
