  2. Tawhid means believing in Allah the one and only God. Sometimes the words unity or oneness explains what tawhid means. Unity is the idea that everything and everyone is united or held together ,for muslims its Allah who holds everything in the universe together. Everything and every living creatures depends on Him. HE is Unique, and nothing is like Him or can compared to Him. What is tawhid?

  3. Its taught in the Quran which we all believe to be the words of Allah. Helps Muslims make sense and directions out of life, believing that Allah is unique and holds everything together. Also helps them think of Allah and not themselves. Helps follow the teachings and examples of the Prophet Muhammad. He showed how to live a full and faithful life because his life was focused on Allah. Why is this belief important for Muslims?

  4. They recognise that no one and nothing else is worth worshipping apart from Allah. All living creatures must be treated with respect because all life comes form Allah and belongs to Him. Muslim communities should be one and united by their belief in Allah because Allah is One. When Muslims believe in Allah and keep Allah at the centre of everything they do, they are being true to their din. How do Muslims try to show their belief in the oneness of Allah?

  5. Din- way of life (the belief and the practise if Islam) Islam- peace gained through submitted to Allah Muslims- one who submitted to Allah and accepting Islam. Quran- the words of Allah and recited or read in Islam Tawhid- the oneness of Allah Key terms
