  2. Business Process • A business process is a collection of related, structured activities or tasks that produce a specific service or product for a particular customer or customers.

  4. Definition • Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. • Customer service is a series of activities designed to enhance the level of customer satisfaction – that is, the feeling that a product or service has met the customer expectation.

  23. Define • Many emergencies cause an immediate danger to the life of people involved. • such as the entire range of medical emergencies including heart attacks, strokes, and trauma

  24. Define • Some emergencies are not immediately threatening to life, but might have serious implications for the continued health and well-being of the person. • such as broken limbs, which do not usually cause death, but immediate intervention is required if the person is to recover properly

  25. Triage • Triage is a process of prioritizing patients based on the severity of their condition. • The transport destination for the patient, based upon the special needs of the patient or the balancing of patient distribution in a mass-casualty setting.

Triage categories • Class I : require minor treatment and can return to duty in a short period of time. • Class II : injuries require immediate life sustaining measures. • Class III : definitive treatment can be delayed without loss of life or limb. • Class IV : requiring such extensive care beyond medical personnel capability and time.

  31. Definition : Manufacturing is the use of machines, tools and labor to make things for use or sale. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are transformed into finished goods on a large scale. 33

  33. RAW MATERIAL EXTRACTION Material is synonymous with substance, and is anything made of matter – hydrogen, air and water are all examples of materials. Sometimes the term "material" is used more narrowly to refer to substances or components with certain physical properties that are used as inputs to production or manufacturing. In this sense, materials are the parts required to make something else, from buildings and art to stars and computers. 35

  44. What is technical support? Technical support basically is a service that providing assistance with the products of company sold (e.g., mobile phones, computers, accounting systems), it could be hardware or software.

  45. How technical support delivered? For basic software problems, it may be delivered over the telephone or online by e-mail or a web site or, by using remote access repair services. For more complicated problems with hardware may need to be dealt with in person. Larger organizations frequently have internal technical support available to their staff for computer related problems.
