Two Step ScrollField Check Out Process- Cooling or Heating • Adjust the indoor thermostat set-point to its max/min setting to initiate a call for 2nd stage cooling/heating. • Verify that 24 volts are present at the Y1 and Y2 pigtails in the outdoor unit. • Measure and record the compressor current. • Carefully remove the wire from the Y2 terminal and measure the compressor current. • There should be a reduction in compressor current in accordance with the attached compressor specification sheets. • If there is a reduction in compressor current when the wire is removed from Y2, the compressor successfully went into part load capacity mode.
