  2. Research Updates University High School, Irvine, CA • Has had the same schedule over 15 years, block schedule (odds/evens) • Daily 45 minutes of “office hours” where students go to teachers’ classrooms, make-up work, and get help from teachers

  3. Research Updates Roosevelt High, Eastvale, CA • Weekly homeroom (32 minutes) • Non-academic curriculum—diversity, anti-bullying, goal setting

  4. Research Updates Centennial High School, Corona, CA • Academic intervention • Voted positively, but Leadership Team decided not to implement in order to fine-tune for next year • Will have extension opportunities for students who are achieving and core instruction for those not on track

  5. Benefits • Reduces classroom interruptions • Provides increased flexibility to provide interventions/enrichment for students Take a moment to peruse the additional benefits identified by staff at our February faculty meeting.

  6. Implementation in Phases • Day 1, August 10: Students go to all periods, including Panther Time • 2-4 weeks later: Begin rotations for teachers who so desire • 2-4 weeks later: Begin No Zero Zone implementation
