  3. What is a kvm? • KVM is an abbreviation for Keyboard,Video and Mouse • Control multiple computers using a single monitor, keyboard and mouse (standard) • Connect multiple monitors, keyboards and mice to a single computer (reverse)

What is a software KVM A software KVM is very similar to a hardware KVM however: A software KVM generally cannot share a monitor, only the keyboard and mouse A software KVM does not require external hardware and can run on any existing network One of the best software KVMs (synergy) costs $0.00 and is completely open source
