Monday EC Meeting-Denver • YVR numbers down a little-1429 plus a larger number of early registrations plus some larger expenses = $70k loss • DEN projected to run an $80k surplus • Network equipment has been upgraded including new servers. • Tutorial on Monday on ethical behavior issues-Michael Lindsay, attorney Stuart J. Monday EC Meeting-Denver • Almost 2.25M downloads for Get 802 program since its inception, average is 8500/week. Top 3 remain 802.11, 802.3 and 802.15.4 • IEEE SA wants to provide a common tool set for attendance providing a near term solution while developing a long term proposal by Nov 2006 • Newcomer training beginning this week at plenaries. • On-Line training course completed and beta tested. Monday EC Meeting-Denver • European Patent Office would like access to 802 documents- motion unanimously approved by the BoG for patent offices in general. Method of access being established • There will be a new on-line PAR form demo’ed at the upcoming NesCom meeting and available April 3. • Attend the tutorials-Monday- 16j mobile multi-hop and Integrity in Standards. Monday EC Meeting-Denver • JTC1/SC6 dual fast track 6 month ballot was started on the 11i/WAPI and closes Tuesday this week. Ad Hoc of the TAG meeting this week. Comment resolution in Prague in June. Relations between the sides is not improving. • China liaison- will be meetings in Beijing week of April 24 to introduce IEEE SA and work an MOU on cooperation Stuart J. Kerry/Robert F. Heile
Monday EC Meeting-Denver • 802 P&P updated in January 2006. Two revisions in process; key one-interims announced 11 months in advance do not need a quorum • 802 rules committee has adopted the ANSI definition for Affiliations.
