HDTV Development and Collaboration for Media Distribution

This report discusses the presentations and discussions held during the 19th APAN Meeting in Bangkok regarding HDTV technology and collaboration for media distribution. It covers topics such as advanced display management, MPEG4 codec for Access Grid, and implementation of low-cost stereo high-definition video delivery systems. The objective of the HDTV Working Group is to collaborate on developing HDTV delivery technology and constructing a HDTV-enabled media distribution infrastructure.

Construct the HDTV-enabled advanced media distribution infrastructure by deploying the developed HDTV toolkit 3. Share and promote the distribution of HDTV contents over the media distribution infrastructure 4. Assist application and user communities to enable HDTV-supported collaboration 6
