Introduction You are a shape detective. Your job is to find shapes in the world. You are going on a trip to find the shapes.
TASK You will work with one of these groups. diamond square triangle circle oval rectangle
On your trip you will: • Find out about your shape. • Make a shape poem. • Get pictures of your shape. • Make a “Shape Book” with your group. By the end of your trip you will be a master detective!
Procedure: • Every day sing “The Shape Song” with all the detectives. • Every day your client (teacher) will read, “The Shape of Me and Other Stuff” by Dr. Seuss. • Every day the shape detectives will have an assignment to work on to solve the case.

Day One • Click to hear “The Story of Shapes”. • Use “Kid Pix” to draw a picture of your shape and write a sentence about it.

Day Three • Your group will use binoculars to find your shape in your world. • Everyone in your group will take a picture of your shape.

Day Six • Today your group gets to show everyone their case work.
