  2. Technology Statistics • Extensive IT Infrastructure capable of high speed data transmissions around the world through any medium • (ex. Satellite, DSL, Microwave, Cellular) • Highest percent of internet users in Europe with 3.2 millions users. • Portugal has the largest penetration of mobile phone users in the world. • Population of 10 million vs. 12 million cellular phone users.

  5. System Basis • Our idea is to create a text based information system • Information options will be customizable via a web portal • Relevant to a large penetration of cellular phone users • Will be multilingual • Cellular access is much more prevalent than internet access
