ECU Online Quality Framework • Developed by the CTLC Online Working Group in 2001 • To enable consistent assessment and evaluation of online learning materials • In 3 main areas of the online setting: - Pedagogies - Resources - Delivery Strategies
e-Moderating • 5-week online unit for staff (1st week F2F, 4 weeks online ) • 2 x collaborative activities, 2 x individual activities, 1 x Action Plan • Authentic tasks, ‘real-life’ online environment • Multiple modes of communication available • Participants as both students and lecturers
Grand Finale - Virtual Session • Requests for “real-life” practice using the virtual classroom • Opportunity for online discussion • Optional participation • Student construction of knowledge, facilitated / guided by an invited online expert • Opportunity for context-bound evaluation
