Procedures for responding to misuse of e-resources (e.g., illegal downloads) Subject librarian (SL), Library E-Resources , Electronic Resources Librarian , & CRSD Head are notified Vendor contacts OSUL with details about the activity Electronic Resources Librarian responds to the vendor and relays information to Systems Administrator OSU Libraries Systems Administrator identifies the location of the IP address Information is shared with CRSD Head, Library E-Resources, Electronic Resources Librarian, SL associated with resource yes Is individual identified? no AUL for Collections and Content Management or Head of CRSD will contact individual Electronic Resources Librarian contacts the appropriate affiliated entity (Dept Chair, ResNet, Computer Lab Manager, etc.) Outcome of conversation or notification is shared with CRSD Head, Library E-Resources, Electronic Resources Librarian, SL associated with resource AUL may report the incident to the Student Conduct and Community Standards Office or other appropriate office Electronic Resources Librarian notifies vendor of outcome and actions taken to prevent activity from repeating
