History Uranus only has two symbols and this is the second one. William Herschel This is Uranus's first symbol. William Herschel discovered Uranus. Uranus was discovered March 13, 1781. Uranus was discovered by an accident. It was seen many times, but has been ignored because people thought it was a star.
