A partly made spreadsheet Click here to open the spreadsheet. It will look like this: As a class, you need to decide which of the yellow cells contain VARIABLES (numbers which can be changed) or FORMULAS (cells which work something out using numbers in other cells.) You should put a V into all cells which hold variables and an F into all cells which hold formulas. On the next screen, you will see the right answers!
Variables and formulas This shows the variables (V) and the formulas (F)
Making your own spreadsheet Click here to open a fresh copy of the partly made spreadsheet. You need to type in the costs of each item from your research at the beginning of this unit. You will also need to type in the formulas to work out the total costs in the spreadsheet. To help you, you will be given a printed copy of the sheet on which you can write the values and formulas you are going to use. All the cells in which you need to write something are shaded. Some of the formulas are already added to help you. When you have filled in the printed version, add the information to your copy of the pet spreadsheet.
Fill in your assessment sheet! Open the assessment sheet you saved at the end of the last lesson and put a 1 next to the level you think you have achieved in lesson 2. Remember to give reasons for your decision!
