Will You Give Jesus What BelongsTo Him? • Some do not give Jesus what is his because of pride (Mt. 2:16) • Some do not give Jesus what is his because of delusion (Mt. 24:5,24) • Some do not give Jesus what is his because of disrespect (Mal. 1:6; Mt. 21:37-38; 22:21; Rom. 13:7) • Some do not give Jesus what is his because of selfishness and self-promotion (Phil. 2:21)

  3. “The Things of Jesus Christ” • First place belongs to Jesus (Eph. 1:21-22; Phil. 2:9; Col. 1:18), not to us (3 Jn. 9) • The church belongs to Jesus (Mt. 16:18; Ac. 20:28; Rom. 16:16; Col. 1:18), not to us (1 Cor. 1:12-13) • The gospel belongs to Jesus (Rom. 1:9; 15:19), not to us (Gal. 1:6-7) • Religious authority belongs to Jesus (Mt. 23:10; 28:18; Jn. 17:2; Rev. 19:17), not to us (Mt. 15:8-9)
