  3. b) to make the people of God fully mature • ‘So that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ’ • (v28)

  4. His methods ‘He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom’ (v28) Jesus Christ

  5. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom Ch 3v16

  6. His sufferings ‘Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the Church’ (v24)

  7. ‘To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.’ (v29) Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ (1 Corinthians 11v1)
