Daniel 2:1-49 • 1. King Nebuchadnezzar had an unusual dream. • 2. He required the wise men to identify his dream and give its interpretation. • 3. The wise men were unable to do this due to their limitations. • 4. King Nebuchadnezzar made a decree stating that all wise men must be slaughtered.
Daniel 2:1-49 • 5. Daniel asked King Nebuchadnezzar to give him time to describe the king’s dream. • 6. He prayed and asked the Lord to reveal the king’s dream. • 7. He praised the Lord for His wisdom and might. • 8. He met the king and described the king’s dream and interpreted this dream. • 9. He was exalted to rule the province of Babylon.
Know Your Limitations • Daniel 2:10 • The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
Know Your Limitations • 1. The wise men admitted that they were unable to describe the king’s dream. • 2. They acknowledged that only God can do. • 3. They continued to beg the king to tell them his dream. • 4. Their begging angered the king.
Know Your Limitations • Ephesians 3:20 • Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, • Philippians 4:13 • I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Exercise Your Faith • Daniel 2:17-18 • 17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Exercise Your Faith • 1. Daniel asked his three Jewish friends to join him to pray to the Lord. • 2. He exercised his faith by asking the Lord and trusting Him to reveal His secret to him.

Ask God to Reveal • 1. God revealed His secret to Daniel. • 2. Daniel had his confidence to meet the king because God revealed His secret to him.
Ask God to Reveal • Luke 12:11-12 • 11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: • 12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
Give Praise • Daniel 2:23 • I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
Give Praise • 1. Daniel admitted that he did not do anything. • 2. He did not create this situation, but God did.

Let God Use You • Daniel 2:27-28 • 27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; • 28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
Let God Use You • 1. Daniel let God to use him to interpret the king’s dream. • 2. He told the king that God revealed His secret to him. • 3. He showed the king God’s wisdom and might.
Let God Use You • Romans 6:13 • Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
