The negative effect on pregnancy Coffee can effect on women pregnancy in a very bad way. Many studies have recommended that it is not good to drink coffee during pregnancy .However, One of the most common damage, which coffee can cause, it is late fetal death. In study by Bodil Hammer Bechand colleagues showed that drinking coffee during pregnancy is associated with high risk of late fetal death. "A total of 88,482 pregnant women recruited from March 1996 to November 2002 … The authors detected 1,102 fetal deaths" (Bech).
The negative effect on the brain Caffeine is the most widely consumed stimulant in the world. People take in so much of this drug, they rarely think twice about how it affects their brain . Headache is one of coffee's bad effects on our brains . A coffee headache has been experienced by anyone who is addicted to coffee."If a coffee addict starts giving up caffeine then prepare for withdrawal symptoms between 12 and 24 hours after his last cup of coffee. Then he may start to develop a headache, feel irritable, tired, and anxious". (Dean)
The negative effect on the heart The consumption of coffee is generally regarded as being detrimental to heart health. Coffee was said to increase blood pressure, increase cholesterol levels, and increase the risk of heart attack and Cardiac arrhythmias." Caffeine can cause a short, but dramatic increase in your blood pressure, even if you don't have high blood pressure. It's unclear what causes this spike in blood pressure. Caffeine could block a hormone that helps keep your arteries widened. Others think that caffeine causes your adrenal glands to release more adrenaline, which causes your blood pressure to increase" (Sheps).
The negative effect on the stomach Heartburn or pain behind the breastbone is a condition in which there is reflux of acid from the stomach into the sensitive esophagus. Certain kinds of food could make the problem worse such as spicy food, acids and other kinds including coffee .Moreover , another problem in the stomach that coffee can make worse is Ulcer. "People with ulcers may experience serious complications if they do not seek appropriate treatment. In addition, drinks too much coffee and other beverages with caffeine may lead to problems such as Bleeding.(Hopkins)
The negative effect on our sleep Students use coffee to stay awake, complete their work, and study. People consume caffeine in order to change their body’s natural need for sleep, often without regard to the consequences it has on their sleeping patterns, and in turn, their daily function and overall health. It is well-known that caffeine produces insomnia. It reduces slow-wave sleep in the early part of the sleep cycle and can reduce rapid eye movement. Caffeine increases episodes of wakefulness, and high doses in the late evening can increase the time taken to fall asleep. In elderly people, the use of medication containing caffeine is associated with an increased risk of difficulty in falling asleep.( Winston).
The negative effect on bones Coffee and strong bones do not always mix well; coffee can be the worst enemy of your bones' health . People gradually lose bone density as they age - particularly women-. Coffee and caffeinated beverages are one of the main reasons of the lack of calcium. If people are not getting enough calcium in their diet, the body takes calcium from the bones to ensure normal cell function, which can lead to weakened bones . Coffee also raises the acidity level of your blood, causing calcium to be pulled from your bones and teeth for use as a buffering agent. The combination of estrogen dominance and high blood acidity puts you at an even greater risk for osteoporosis. In fact, research has established an undeniable link between coffee consumption and hip fractures. (Mercola)
