  1. Healthcare in Europe A Kingdom Perspective

  2. What troubled me about healthcare in Europe? • Christians not really making a difference in what is actually happening in healthcare systems • Christians not taken seriously by non-Christians when it comes to solving healthcare problems • YET: we claim Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and King of kings • Conclusion: the head has become the tail and this is totally unacceptable to me - Jesus Christ deserves more!!!

  3. Why has the head become the tail in healthcare in Europe? Four fundamental reasons: • Cultural Christians but not yet Relational Christians • Relational Christians but not yet Fullness Christians • Christians but still thinking like pagans • Christians but ineffective in spiritual warfare

  4. What am I doing about it? • Networking with body of Christ for transformation of Europe Hope for Europe • Networking within health field for transformation of healthcare in Europe  Hope for Healthcare • Stimulating 17 National HCF’s in Europe to transform healthcare in their country  HCF strategy • Training next generation leaders: Writing / speaking / mentoring (including SLT) • Using Netherlands as laboratory in this regard

  5. Hope for Healthcare • Twelve trans-national organizations • About 20 national organizations • Stimulating collaboration with the national Evangelical Alliances • www.hfe.org

  6. HfH is a pan-European evangelical initiative to proclaim and demonstrate the contemporary and eternal hope of the Gospel by creating networks and partnerships in healthcare and by promoting evangelistic strategies among the sick thus contributing to: the spiritual, social and cultural transformation of Europe’s peoples, and the mobilization of Europeans for world evangelization

  7. By the grace of God and together with its supporters HCF will become a prayerful Evangelical Fellowship with trained people implementing Christ’s Great Commission in healthcare.
