R.I.P Aaliyah Aaliyah Dana Haughton was one of my first favorite artist. The first song I heard from her was "Rock The Boat." I loved her voice and her style. It was so different and wasn't sexual like other artist but it was mature and classy but a sexy feel to it. Once I started watching her music videos, I knew she would always be my favorite. Aaliyah died in a plane crash on August 25, 2001 with eight others such as producers, make-up artist, etc. I hated the fact that she wouldn't be able to make music anymore but to me she was a young musical legend. Aaliyah will always be remembered by everyone. She was the "Princess of R&B."
The Connection Music allows me to express feelings that I really don’t know to express on my own. I realized there really is a song for every emotion that we. Some people don’t feel “free” living in this world. There’s always something going on around them that they don’t think they can handle, I am one of them. The remedy I chose to escape everything but understand what to do or why it is happening is music.
