  2. NORTH STAR ACADEMY • NSA has a “good” problem • Grade 6 Enrollment = 25 • Next Year’s Grade 7 • Grade 7 Enrollment = 27 • Next Year’s Grade 8 • Classroom Enrollment Limit = 20

  3. NORTH STAR ACADEMY • Choices • Limit Grade 7 & 8 Enrollment • Lose 12 students @ approx. $7,000 • Maintain (2) 7th grade classrooms • To be determined-- • Self-Contained? CEEP? • Add a second 8th grade classroom

  4. NORTH STAR ACADEMY Current Facility Approximately 12,000 sq. ft. Classrooms at 100% Capacity

Current Status Board of Education authorized drawings & permits – Cost $8,000 2012-13 State Funding does not look promising District does not have a Fund Balance to access We cannot borrow further, so must be a cash project Project Balance = Approx. $85,000 (including basic furnishings) NORTH STAR ACADEMY
