Functions and responsibilities • Investigate complaints by workers about insurers decisions • Work Capacity Decision Reviews • Encouraging a complaints resolution systems between Insurers and Employers • Administering the Independent Legal Assistance and Review Service (ILARS) INTRODUCING WIRO

  4. ILARS • Introduced to overcome s341 Amendments • To facilitate access to free independent legal advice to injured workers, where there is a disagreement with insurers regarding entitlements. • Legal Advice provided by external lawyers INTRODUCING WIRO
