  1. EXPLORINGFirstNighter, Thursday September 5th, 6:00-7:30 Physicians Center Conference Room B Welcome to our Explorer Kick-off for the 2013-2014 school year. Shelby Baptist Medical Center is pleased to offer the Learning for Life Exploring experience and to offer the opportunity to share with high school students and parents an introduction to Healthcare as rewarding careers. We hope that you and your parents will enjoy what we have planned throughout the upcoming school year. Tentatively, our visits to the various hospital departments will include: Imaging Department, Operating RoomLabor and Delivery, Pharmacy Physical Therapy,Laboratory, Respiratory TherapyCath Lab, Facility Management, Nursing DepartmentsEmergency Services, Hospital AdministrationThroughout the year, we will tour these and other departments, such as Materials Management and Facilities Management and have an opportunity to speak with Hospital Administrators. Each toured area will have representative employees and/or physicians that will share with you their experiences in their chosen career field, giving you an opportunity to identify a healthcare career that is the right fit for you. Look for additional information that will delivered to the email address you provide on the registration form. We will meet again SEPTEMBER 26thto start the new Exploring calendar year. Our goal for the FirstNighter is to provide more information about our program and discuss the career opportunities in Healthcare. Pizza and drink will be served.
