  1. This is how your application should look like if you are coming back to it

  2. Pay attention to the required formatting of your password. Write down your password somewhere you can find it.

  3. Once you have created your account, you can apply for fall 2013 as a Freshman

  4. Missing items will appear in red.

  5. This answer will determine residency for in–state or out-of-state tuition.

  6. Based on your major, you should be selecting a school that offers your major.

  7. Got to assist.org to help you choose the college/university that offers your major

  8. Click on Majors

  9. Select your area of interest

  10. For example, this is the result UC/CSU’s for a student interested in teacher education and at the elementary level.

  11. Click on a college/campus to expand the list of majors available and make your selection.

  12. Based on the school you may have to choose a “home” within the University. This is an example for UC San Diego. Research and see which “home” would best fit you.

  13. This is an example summary page of Universities and majors applied to.

  14. You may only select up to 16 characteristics that describe you. So, choose wisely.

EOP- The program offers low-income, first-generation (neither parent completed a college degree) college students with orientation to campus program and services, academic advising, tutoring, transition support, and grants ($). The EOP department reviews applicants and collaborates with the admissions office to make decisions.

  23. You will have been in High School from August 2010 - June 2014 Once all information is correct, hit “add this”

  24. You will be asked to enter all your A-G courses that you took during 9th grade. Remember: earth science is a “G” course

  25. If you took Bio as a 9th grader, you should put it here along with the grades you earned

  26. Art 1 became A-G during your 9thgrade year.

  27. Your senior courses should be entered as IP(in progress, sem 1) and PL(planned, sem 2)

  28. Some students took courses through the high school enrichment program. Place your courses here.

  29. Can be found on your transcript. Here is your opportunity to explain some things on your application.

  30. This is your summary page of all courses taken.

  31. List any courses that are not A-G that may be relevant to your major of study. Example: Med Terminology or ROP Nursing

  32. Examples: Upward Bound, MESA.

  33. List up to 5 volunteer experiences.

  34. You may enter up to five positions/jobs.

  35. List honors and awards you have earned

  36. Up to 5 extracurricular activities Examples: team captain of varsity soccer team, student body president, school yearbook editor, first chair of high school symphony orchestra, lead actor of high school play, JROTC Leadership Education Training.

  38. Universities will see that there will be a score coming. Make sure to update your colleges/universities that you would like to receive your scores on Collegeboard and ACT accounts
