E N D
PURPOSE To encourage each child to exercise faith in Jesus Christ.
I Know That My Redeemer Lives 1. I know that my Redeemer lives. What comfort this sweet sentence gives! He lives, he lives, who once was dead.He lives, my ever-living Head.He lives to bless me with his love.He lives to plead for me above. He lives my hungry soul to feed.He lives to bless in time of need. 2. He lives to grant me rich supply. He lives to guide me with his eye.He lives to comfort me when faint. He lives to hear my soul’s complaint. He lives to silence all my fears. He lives to wipe away my tears. He lives to calm my troubled heart. He lives all blessings to impart.
3. He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend. He lives and loves me to the end.He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.He lives and grants me daily breath. He lives, and I shall conquer death. He lives my mansion to prepare. He lives to bring me safely there. • 4. He lives! All glory to his name!He lives, my Savior, still the same.Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:“I know that my Redeemer lives!”He lives! All glory to his name!He lives, my Savior, still the same.Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:“I know that my Redeemer lives!” Text: Samuel Medley, 1738–1799. Included in the first LDS hymnbook, 1835. Music: Lewis D. Edwards, 1858–1921

And Seen And Faith is Hoped For Things Which Are Not • Can you put these words into a verse? • Raise your hand when you think you have it.
In Ether 12:6 we read: 6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that afaith is things which are bhoped for and cnot seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no dwitness until after the etrial of your faith.
What things would you like to see that you haven’t? How do you know that they exist? For example, Can you see air? How do you know air is there? Even though we have not seen Jesus Christ with our own eyes, how do we know that he lives? What does it mean to have faith in Jesus Christ? To have a strong enough belief in Jesus Christ that we obey him and seek to become like him.
What are some ways Jesus Christ can help you if you have faith in him? He can give you comfort Direction Peace Strength healing
The Scriptures teach us about many people who received great blessings and performed miracles because of their faith in Jesus Christ. • This is what our lesson is about today.
Jesus Christ said, “If ye will have faith in me, ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me” As we discussed earlier, we can know that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen. We should not dispute what we can not see, for we will receive no witness until after the trial of our faith.
As we have discussed in previous lessons, by having faith in our heavenly father and in Jesus, when we humble ourselves before them, they will make us strong, they will bless us with the talents needed based on our faith. • When we need our heavenly father’s help, how should we ask of it? • In Prayer • We have been told, “Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in faith believing that ye shall receive, behold, it shall be done unto you.”
This week we will see a movie about some of the people that had the faith they needed to be part of Christ’s miracles. Let’s watch the movie “Finding Faith in Jesus Christ” Watch Movie Discussion Questions
