Perspective • Your PERSPECTIVE is the way you SEE things. (Your point-of-view). For example: -Look at the person sitting across from you at your table. You see that they are right in front of you. - Now look at someone across the room. - From where you are sitting, you see a different perspective of them. A different angle.
Perspective • Perspective is easier to explain when.. - Pretend you were standing on a tall mountain looking down to the ground. What would you see? - Pretend you were a snail on the ground looking up at the world. What would you see?
Perspective • Perspective can be used in a variety of ways: - When designing buildings/ Architecture - Bridges - Creating floor plans for a house. - Designing a room or furniture. - Every day things like drawing a person in a scene.
Perspective • When using perspective, there is something called DEPTH that develops. • What is Depth? - “A dimension taken through an object or body of material, usually downward from an upper surface, horizontally inward from an outer surface, or from top to bottom of something regarded as one of several layers.”- Dictionary.com

Depth in a drawing MC Escher created depth in his works.
Perspective - One Point Perspective: Looking at an object from straight on. From one spot. - Two Point Perspective: Looking at an object from the corner or edge of something. -Three Point Perspective: Looking at an object from a high or low eye level.

Perspective • Vanishing Point means that this is the point in the picture that all of the lines meet up to. This point creates illusions so that the picture looks realistic. • It helps the lines in creating FORM and DEPTH so the object looks 3-Dimensional.
