  1. Sacha Lichine • Sacha Lichine was born in Margaux, France in 1960. Despite spending his early years in the Medoc, Sacha was soon on the move with his family to New-York • He started to work at Chateau Prieure Lichine during the summers at age 23 and started running the winery at age 27 (sold the chateau in 1999) • In 1987 he set up his own export company in Saint Lucia, CARIBBEAN CHATEAU LTD and in the same year became director of Chateau Prieuré-Lichine in Margaux. • In 1990, he created his own Bordeaux negociant business, BORVIN, which is still running today as Sacha Lichine SARL. Through this company, he offers the cream of Bordeaux wine selection, participating in the annual "En Primeur" campaign, as well as producing an excellent range of vins de Pays d’Oc. (Vin de Pays d’Oc is in the Languedoc-Roussillon area, in Mediterranean Southern France) • In 2000, Sacha founded the next stage of his business group, SACHA LICHINE INTERNATIONAL LTD, a production and marketing company based in France which masterminds the development of a new concept in wine ; the VINS SANS FRONTIERES, where the Old World meets the New in an exciting array of blended wines which volumes of production have reached close to 1 million bottles per year. • A pivotal moment for Sacha was his 2006 acquisition of Chateau d’Esclans in Provence. Sacha felt that Rose had strong developmental opportunities to become more serious from a production standpoint in addition to being served and consumed more broadly.
