Laborand Industries Requirements • WAC 296-800-17007 • Include multiemployer workplaces in your program if necessary. • Applies when: Your employees may be exposed to hazardous chemicals used by another employer;OR Another employer's employees may be exposed to hazardous chemicals you or your employees use. Examples include employees of construction companies, cleaning services, or maintenance contractors visiting or working on-site.
Global Harmonization • WAC 296-901-14010 Written hazard communication program. • The methods the employer will use to provide the other employer(s) on-site access to safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical the other employer(s)' employees may be exposed to while working;

Lessons Learned • Owner’s Representative not familiar with the regulations • Impacts the asbestos pipe fitting insulation • Asbestos debris spread through out the mechanical room • Mechanical contractor works the next day
Lessons Learned • Insure that hazard is communicated by General Contractor • Confirm that Personnel are have asbestos awareness training • Review the sequencing of the work at preconstruction conference • Keep specialty vendors in the communication loop
