Proverbs 29:15 • The rod of correction imparts wisdom but a child left to himself disgraces his mother.
Mark 10:13-14a • People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant.
Indignant is the same Greek word used to describe the people after Jesus drives the moneychangers out of the temple.
Mark 10:14b • ……..for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Jesus doesn’t just say children are important. Jesus claims that children are precisely what defines the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:16 • And He took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them.
Jesus is the most important person in history, and He was not too important for youth.
We are all children of God by creation,but we are not all children of God by Christ.
The choice is ours. Christ invites us as spiritually parched and thirsty to drink freely from his water.
Revelation 22:16 • I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the Bright and Morning Star.
