A is for Alpine Skiing Alpine skiing is the most popular sport for sliding on snow. Canada won gold in skiing.
B is for British Columbia British Columbia is known for there mountains to ski and snowboard on. That’s where the Olympics are this year.
C is for Crosby Sidney Crosby is one of the top players in the NHL and his is representing our country. He scored the winning goal for Canada in the final game against the USA.
D is for Drew Doughty He is 203 lb. and about 6 feet tall. He was born on December 8 ,1989.
E is for Evgeni Malkin He is one of the top players on his Olympic team. He’s never played in the Olympics with Alex Ovechkin.
F is for freestyle skiing Freestyle skiing is one of my favorite sports because it brings so much action to watch. I also like when there up in the air and you don’t know if she’s coming down.
G is for the Games The Games were first introduced in the Greeks time. They have improved since then.
H is for halfpipe This is how the sport halfpipe competition works. Each snowboard performs a number of spins,backflips and grabs to get a high score.
I is for ice hockey Ice hockey is Canada's number one sport. Everybody knows that Canada has the best hockey.
J is for the Jamaican bobsled team The Jamaican bobsled team had there first winter Olympics in 1988 in Calgary. They crashed at there final run.
K is for Korea Korea always wins in the speed skating. Because there known for there smooth skating.
L is for Roberto Loungo He is one of the best goalies in the NHL and he is playing the men's ice hockey team. He is the tallest goalie in the NHL.
M is for Maelle Ricker She won gold in Torino for women's snowboard cross. People say it was all luck.
N is for Nordic Combined It is a great sport it is made up of four athletes and four of them jump. They try to get as far as a jump as they can to win.
O is for Olympics Back in the day the Olympics were harder to get together because of all the countries fighting. Eventtionly they worked it out and got the Olympics together.
P is for Paralympics I like how they still have the games for the Paralympics people. A lot people like watching the Paralympics and I am one of them.
Q is for Quatchi Quatchi is a wonderful mascot for the Olympics. I think he soot's the brown trees with all of his hair.
R is for the Rings The Olympic rings bring all the countries to the Olympics. It also can make the countries stop fighting sometimes.
S is for Shawn White Shawn is still the defending champ in Men’s Halfpipe. He’s won it three years in a row.
T is for Tickets Many tickets have been sold for the Olympics. They are making the most money ever made before.
U is for United States The United States have some of the best Athletes in the world, besides Canada. Even though the United States have more medals then us, we were the ones who beat them in men’s ice hockey
V is for Vancouver They chose Vancouver because of there awesome mountains and fort there ski and snowboard resorts.
W is for Whistler Whistler is where most of the snowboarding and skiing was held this years Olympics.
X is for Experience Experience is something that the Athletes have to compete in the Olympics. Patrick sheen has been in so many Winter Olympics and that’s how he so much experience.
Y is for youth The Olympics are is brightest youth of a nation.
