Grouped by… • A gorilla is a mammal which means they are warm blooded. • They are vertebrates like us! • They give live birth to their young and feed milk to their young • Females start mating at 8 years of age and males at 11 • Newborn babies weigh about 4 to 5 pounds • They can live for up to 30-50 years!!! • Some mammals are … elephants, lions, dogs/cats, ……US!!!! Did you know When a gorilla beats on its chest it is threatening its rivals.

  3. Covering Gorillas are covered with hair, like us mammals. Except their fingers, palms, face, armpits and the bottom of their feet . They must be REALLYhairy. Did you know A gorilla can talk to a human!!!

Diet • Gorillas eat …fruits, flowers, shoots, bulbs, bark and leaves. • They are herbivores which means they eat plants. • They get their water from their food. • Gorillas have never been seen hunting or feeding on any animals except insects such as termites and ants.(but they don’t feed on insects so much)

  5. Habitat • Gorillas live in the … • Tropical rain forests • Wet low land forests • Abandoned swamps and Africa Did you know. Like we have interesting finger prints, gorillas have nose prints.
