Annual Operating Costs • Savings have been made in: • Wages - $70,484; • Seabed Licence $79,056; • Vehicle Expenses - $25,725; • Dredging - $50,000. • There will be future pressure on: • Insurance; • Dredging; • Power. • Not expecting any increase to berth holders in the immediate future. Maintenance • Renovate berth holder bathrooms; • Upgrade channel markers; • Dredge channel; • Dredge berths; • Instigate annual maintenance plan; • Sleeves over centre poles; • Re-lay cobbles at pier gates to reduce flooding; • Obtain Certificate of Fitness for marina. Legal Issues • Seabed Licence – have settlement offer with Council for their consideration; • Ground Rent – has been arbitrated lots 2/16, 10, 18/19. • Council wanted $69,823 pa • Arbitrated $32,887 pa • Rates – poor result being appealed; • Berth holder savings of around $13,000 pa. • WMAT action Westpark Marina Berth Holder Meeting 2011

  17. Dredging • Applied for disposal permit in February, granted September; • Depth is improving. • Coastal Dredging working with Pine Harbour and Westpark; • Not known exactly when dredging will start; • Will be a substantial dredge (29,000m³ to 40,000m³) from now to December 2012.
