Euphemism • Euphemism is a noun that means a indirect word or expression for one too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing. Euphemism is used to replace a offensive word for a inoffensive word. It can used mostly at public places such as school, work, and even with family members but lacks around friends. Polite or neutral word are synonyms of euphemisms. A example of euphemism is when someone says “I have to use the restroom,” versus “I have to take a dump!” A way I could use this for my everyday vocabulary is to use examples of euphemism to sound well-mannered & polite instead of using hurtful or embarrassing terms.
