75% of children are willing to share personal information online about themselves and their family in exchange for goods and services. • 90% of children aged between eight and 16 have viewed pornography on the Internet. In most cases, the sex sites were accessed unintentionally. • Only 33% of the households with Internet access are proactively protecting their children with filtering or blocking software.
Guidelines for Parents • Set up the computer in the family room. • Set guidelines for the amount of time your child can be online. • Have your kids show you how to use the computer it will improve their confidence. Parents
